It's clean energy storage is set to reduce energy costs by increasing the efficiency of renewable generation and
stabilising grid supply. The 1414 Degrees Thermal energy storage system (TESS) is unlike any other energy storage system in the world.
The company has stated there TESS technology will provide energy storage at 1/10 the cost of TESLA and all other Battery type Energy Storage systems. We anticipate this New Australian technology will be a game changer if the energy storage cost will be 1/10 the cost of other commercial Energy Storage systems.

In 2019 the smallest projected TESS module was a 10MW module aimed to use what would normally be Wasted Energy from several source like Solar, Wind, back-up Fuel Generators etc.
Recently announced plans to incorporate a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the above new Site.
In 2021 the smallest TESS module is still 10MW module for Commercial applications, the latest TESS is currently undergone thorough Testing utilising what would normally be Waste Bio-Gas, harvested from the South Australian Sewerage plant.
We believe our Federal Government should Mandate that Every Sewerage Plant in Australia had one of these Systems installed, just think of how Green & Clean Humans would be !

TESS & BESS Energy Storage allows the owners the option to first self consume and on-sell there stored energy on National Electricity Market (NEM) during Peak demand pricing (Peak Power), obviously providing a better financial return, instead of exporting to Ausgrid infrastructure during the lower day rate!
We procured the cost to incorporate a TESS unit a privately funded 5MW solar farm in Lovedale, NSW, at this stage we are unsure if the owner has the vision & understands the potential this Australian technology offers, in relationship to selling there Stored energy at peak on-demand rates.
One outstanding feature of a TESS unit is the ability to utilising the latent heat provided by a TESS unit, this would eliminate Area or Water Heating costs to any business!
Installing a 1414° TESS unit in the sub-station adjacent to the solar farm, allows the Solar Farm the option to first send the energy directly into the TESS unit to be store & dispatch at a better rate in Peak demand times, thus shortening the break-even investment time significantly, instead of Exporting all the energy directly into AustGrid network during the day, at a lesser feed-in rate.
As mentioned, a TESS unit also provides significant latent heat, that in turn can be used by close proximity businesses, thus saving them using additional energy to Heat water for heating swimming pool water, and area heating or manufacturing etc.
1414° TESS is best suited to utilise what would otherwise be wasted energy from the likes of excess energy from Solar, Wind, Aqua and the latest is BioGas produced from sewerage plants, used to heat the Silicon and then used or stored as required, by simply converting the energy to heat Silicon (Sand) to 1'414 degrees.
TESS can take any input voltage, and transform the incoming energy/voltage to the internal TESS operating voltage.
1414° TESS unit has successfully been tested to drive a jet turbine with the hot air coming from the TESS unit.
The Jet Turbine turns a large heavy flywheel that turns a large Alternator to provides power, 1414° is developed a turbine to operate on NG, and possibly Diesel, Ethanol or any alternative fuels in the near future.
Clients only need to specify the input volts/megawatts and the device will be design accordingly.
It takes up to *800kW to melt one ton of Silicon (Si) from room temperature (e.g. *300kW to raise Si from 30 deg to 1414°, then *500kW power to convert the Si from solid to molten, with no change in temperature.
Approx. 16'000kW (1.6MW) of power is initially required to get a 10MWh TESS unit operational, before the power can be drawn from it.
The first operational prototype has one tonne of Si, the 10 MWh TESS will use 20 tonnes of Si.
The final cost to install a fully commissioned 1414° unit on site can varies considerably, TESS units can be delivered as a fully housed and sealed unit will reduce the commissioning cost, if required a TESS unit is able to be delivered in sections and assembled on site for difficult locations.
A TESS unit first needs to be brought up to operating temperature of 1414° before unit can start Export energy into the state Grid. The Smarter consideration would be to charge a TESS unit(s) and then the owner has the option to Export there energy at peak a higher price paid for energy that is sold during Peak Power times!
No matter what type of energy is used to charge a TESS unit, the latent Thermal heat can be used to heat Water or area spaces, this is critical to enabling a quicker return on investment, as it will save any business using heat energy.
