Solar-Only-Inverters can Only convert solar power for immediate use, and Export any excess Energy into the State Grid for a Feed-in-Tarrif (FIT).
A Hybrid inverter is a Power Station Control Centre, that Charges Energy Storage System (ESS), that Import & Export Power generated by a Solar system, as well as several external power sources, like a fuel Generator, Wind Turbine, and State Grid, the whole system is a stand alone Behind The Meter Power Station.
Hybrid inverters preform three jobs;
- Operates a premises from Stored Energy, with excess energy Charging energy storage.
- Converts excess Solar Energy and other imported energy to Charge the Energy Storage.
- Once the Energy Storage is fully Charged, excess energy can be Exported into the State Grid for a Feed-in-Tarrif (FIT), or Sell via Peer-to-Pier (P2P) Energy Trading.
The Key Features of a Hybrid Inverter is Energy Conversion and Storage, by importing DC & AC power, and converting into usable AC power via battery storage.
This means that with a hybrid inverter, you can store excess energy in batteries and use it later when you need it most – like at night or during extended bad weather, or power outages.
Backup Power Option: LUX hybrid inverters are our preferred inverters, as they Draw Power from Energy Storage when either Solar or Wind Turbine is Not Generating as much Energy as the Premises is Consuming.
