Mobile & Transportable Solar Power Station

Mobile Micro Grid Power Station was predominantly reserved for Motorhomes, and has become popular in 4X4WD, as Batterys replaced the need for LPG Gas, and with batteries feed into an Inverter all your home gadgets like Coffee machines etc. all work perfectly.

A Transportable Power Station is a new concept we have been working on for a while, and have installed our DART-1 unit onto an old Box Trailer & are currently Transforming it into a DART-3 Mobile Unit for testing, and will use 3x 500W (1.50kW) Solar Panels, so will Generator 15kWh/p Energy in 10 hours of full sunlight !

Besides Solar Panels that can be set-up & utilised anywhere, a Tiny $450 800W Silenced Generator or larger 4.5kW $1'500 Silenced Generator for Heavier loads like Air-conditioner can be used to Blackout proof your premises.

The heart of all Micro Grids is an Inverter, Solar & Energy Storage, these can easily be installed into a Box Trailer, or if you get creative, you can simply fit an Inverter on a sheet of 18mm Marine Plywood & fix that onto a Trolley or inside an old Fridge that will provide a Weather proof housing that can be placed anywhere out in the Weather, then you can move it from one abode to the Next.

Whether living in a House or Apartment, a Converted double door Fridge would be ideal to Insulate the Inverter & Battery from the Weather if located outside, as 240V AC Caravan Lead can safely be used to Connect as a behind the Meter installation.

A mobile Power Station for Tenants living in Apartments or Homes would be a Energy Storage revolution, although Motor Homes have been using mobile Micro Grids for decades, with the introduction of lightweight LiFePO4 Batteries, you can easily & safely relocate them.

We can provide you with a bespoke Transportable Micro Power Station with the Energy Storage that should start with at least 1.50kW Solar, and 10.24kWh Energy Storage, that you can simply add additional batteries beneath the Solar Racking at any time.

There are several types of Portable Energy Storage Technologies we recommend below;

1. Lithium-Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Energy Storage Modules are the common G0-to & Safer Energy Storage, than Lithium-ion (TESLA) type batteries.
2. Super Capacitor (SC) Energy Storage Modules are Expensive but extremely quick to Recharge, and there non combustible Graphics-&-Paper Dry cell technology is the latest & greatest in SC energy storage, these all come with built-in Cell Management System (CMS).
   NB: SC can be Charged in 10~60minutes depending on the capacity, unlike ANY other energy storage technology!
   Hybrid Graphite SC Cells boast a minimum 20'000+ cycle life, where Dry Paper & Graphene SC Modules boast 50'000 +Cycle Life.
   SC Modules can be ordered with 24V~48V DC Output and only need a Hybrid Inverter or MPPT Charge Controller for Charging.
3. A 6kWh Lithium-iron Energy Storage Suitcase Modules with inbuilt Inverter, weighs just 75kg.
   These are ideally suited for Trade person, or people that don't want to use a noisy Generator, these Specially manufactured modules come in a Space age type Suitcase, that includes a pure-sine inverter.  The Vigor-Box unit come set-up & ready to use as a Portable Power Station, providing customers with a totally portable Power Station & Storage unit, easily transport from one location to another, very similar to what a Motorhome & 4X4WD would set-up when they get to there Camp site, a Vigor-Box Case is a single self contained unit!

Firstly: Solar Generation can be accomplished by using lightweight Flexible solar panels, manufactured with special eyelets for variable mounting options, like being hung on veranda wall areas or place to cover windows that are exposed to Sunlight, possibly whilst you are at work!

Obviously, each premises would be configured in a way that suits the location, if the area is prone to Shading, we recommend using Shingled Solar Panels, as they are better at generating energy when panels shading occurs.

Secondly: Run the DC Power form the Solar panels too the inverter, and another pair of wires running from the inverters Battery Terminals, DC wires are relatively safe up around 80VDC, and can be wired by a Handyman or Electrician.  48VDC is commonly the standard Battery Voltage and is safe to touch with your hands, as Low voltage DC wiring is just like the wiring on your vehicle!

Mobile Transportable Micro Power Station;

These bespoke Mobile DART Power Stations are designed for anyone wanting to have a Mobile Power Station!

We design & Manufacture each unit to suit the customers Daily energy Consumption;

1. A fully optioned unit includes a 3kW~12kW Hybrid Inverter.
2. Energy Storage starts from a Single 2.56kWh Battery up to 10x 10.24kWh LiFePo4 Batteries, providing a massive 102.4kWh Energy Storage.
3. Each unit comes with a Weather proof S/Steel Control Housing, that only operates the Tracking
4. These units are Totally Self Contained, and are supplied with either a H/Duty 240V, 15A Caravan power lead or in the case of a 3phase inverter a 3 phase power Plug & lead.

NB: Each Trailer mounted Power Station can be Parked anywhere or in the case of the Free standing Planter box design, assemble & turned on.

NO External Power enters these Mobile Power Station, as mentioned below.

A free standing DART-1 Planter Box Design uses a single 500W Solar Panel and Generates 5kWh/p Energy per Day, the Racking was built from Recycled materials.		Three 500W Solar Panels Trailer Mounted Micro Power Grid with Batteries & 5kW Inverter.		Mobile Trailer mounted DART-4 unit fitted with 4x 400W Solar Panels =1.60kW Array, capable of Generating up-to 17.60kWh Energy per Day, it is using two 12v Linear Actuators, we no-longer use these, as they are weaker and inferior than Slew Bearings.
This 6kW Solar Generator comes with a 5.37kWh Battery & Hybrid Inverter it will supply enough Power for any Single Phase Premisses, and this unit comes has a Remote WiFi APP built in for Automatic Starting.		51.2V, 15.36kWh Lithium Iron (LiFePO4) Energy Storage only requires an Inverter.		These DART units can be manufactured with a very shorter Mast & fitted with a Mast Hinge for Lowering for transporting, and come in Wide or Narrow Stance, designed to be fitted with 700W or any other sized Solar Panels and comes with a 3" or 7" Combination Slew Bearings, Wind, Light & Stop Sensors.
GPS Solar Tracking is inferior and rarely accurate, and in Bad or Cloudy Weather, the Sun is often blocked greatly reducing the Energy Generated.		Chinese Dual Axis Radiation Control Module replaces the GPS Circuit Board and uses the existing 240VAC~24VDC Transformer to power the DART controller.		This Polish REI DART Radiation Tracking module is Superior at Generating Energy as the Racking rotates the Racking to the Brightest area of the Sky, when the Sun is blocked during Cloudy weather!		This configuration has both 12V~24VDC or 48V~24VDC Transformer, where power is run from a 12V or 48V Battery to power the DART Control module.
Two 12v Batteries can be fitted into the Control Housing to provide 24VDC power operate a DART Controller.		Mast Hinge: The Blue Hydraulic Mast Hinge is a $70 8 ton Long reach Hydraulic Jack, that allowed the DART unit to be assembled at ground level, then raised into position & secured, it also allows Lowering for maintenance or relocation as required. We were surprised how easy it raised and lowered an Assembled DART-3 unit.  We are now looking to manufacture larger Hinge for up to a DART-8 unit.

Building your own Power Station using Ridged or Flexible light weight Solar Panels!

There are three main types of Flexible solar panels that can be used, in recommended order;

1. Flexible & light weight Monocrystalline solar panels commonly weigh up to 3kg each, and are great at Generating energy anywhere you hang/mount them, there are two main types.
   

   A) ETFE (Ethylene-Tetra-Fluoro-Ethylene) is a high-strength fluorine polymer that is corrosion and stain resistant, non-stick self cleaning, and retains its clarity (and therefore light transmittance) ensuring long service life for solar panels.
   B) PET is a cheaper polyester-based plastic.  The main differentiating factors between the two is strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion.

2. Flexible & light weight Amorphous solar panels are our first choice when it comes to low light & shaded situations, as they are superior at Generate low light energy, there are also ridged transparent Amorphous solar panels, these are good at Generating light of a reflective backgrounds.

NB: Our standard 580W Monocrystalline solar panels are very suitable for shading, if you have the room to mount them onto a wall or even a purpose made privacy/shade screen, or install hooks or brackets that can be swung to cover say a window or glass sliding doors to generate energy whilst you are at work, also blocking the Sun entering a room will also have the added bonus of keeping the area cooler.

CAUTION: Any 240V AC inverter AC output voltage is Dangerous, and work should be undertaken by an experienced person!

However, handling DC Voltage is relatively safe under 75VDC.

1. If you system can't Generate sufficient energy to store & go off-grid, a Silenced 4.50kW or Silenced 6kW Generator is all that is needed, as the YiY Hybrid inverters we use have an AGS Function, and two wires are connected to Generator Starter Motor, then you can give the State Grid the Flick, as the generator will commonly start after several days of bad weather!
2. Inverters 240V AC input wires, need to have a Disconnect switch if connect to the Original 240V AC power box/fuse box, this becomes the back-up power supply for the premises, and should be wired by a licence electrician.

NB: An apartment or home you don't actually need to Export power back to the State Grid, unless you want to go through the process of certification by the CEC.

It's not rocket science, as an example, the DC & AC Wiring is exactly the same as if you were wiring a mobile camper van or 4X4WD, where you have the option to utilise a 240V power input from an external power source, like a Generator &/or State Grid.

After all that, you may be thinking where are you going to fit the solar panels in a unit for example, well this is where every location will be different.

In summer any areas fitted with solar Panel would block the sun from entering an area, thus keeping the area cooler, whilst Generating Energy.
